It’s been a busy summer already! I’ve spent some time at the pool, which has been a great way to relax and stay cool.
I also took a trip to Colorado and did an accessible trail. Most of it was manageable with my wheelchair, but there were a few rocky areas where I needed some extra help to get through. Still, it was worth it for the views and the experience.
This past weekend, I went to Illinois for a family wedding. The venue was beautiful but located at the top of a big hill, which made things interesting. With some determination and effort, I made it up there.
I’m hoping to check out the zoo sometime next week. Fingers crossed for good weather and smooth paths.
Being a wheelchair user adds a few extra layers to planning and navigating trips, but I’ve learned to roll with it—literally and figuratively!
What do you like to do or have done this summer so far?
